1:00 pm Optional picnic near the archeological site of La Vega Vieja, the location of the first permanently colonized Spanish city in the Americas, as well as Las Casa's first assignment. Bus will pick up participants at the Gran Almirante Hotel at 1:00 pm. Cost RD $250. Please confirm with Kris Jones prior to 2/20/98.
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Visit to city of La Vega to observe Carnaval parade and festivities.
