The MacGregor O'Brien Scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student to cover registration costs at an AAPLAC Conference. The scholarship was established by AAPLAC at its General Meeting in Cuenca, Ecuador in 2008 in memory of MacGregor O'Brien, Professor of Spanish at Frostburg State University (MD), a long-time member of the organization who passed away in 2008. The scholarship covers only the student conference registration fee. Other expenses, such as travel to the conference, lodging and meals, are not covered.
